why do my posts show up twice but if I want to edit something previously posted I can only edit one them?

why do my posts show up twice but if I want to edit something previously posted I can only edit one them?
If anyone can shed some light on why most things that I am posting are showing up twice yet I can only edit one of them after the fact, it will be much appreciated. Also, is there a way to delete something after its been posted if you wish to do so?
