Great site but I a little confused....
There is a lot of great info on this site but some of the information conflicts with the equipment my car has. i have a 65 440H, it has the 3 speed on the column with over drive and airliner recliner seats. The engine is equiped with the 1bbl. holley carb. From what I have read and been told my car should have the carter 2bbl instead of the holley. I have also been told it should have bucket seats and a console with the twin stick shifter. I have decoded all the numbers and every thing matches up. Does anyone know what the 440H package included that the 440 did not? Thanks.
Assuming your car is a 65 Classic, My guess is that you had an engine swap somewhere in the car's history. I believe that the 2bbl carb was on the 232s I6 and 287 V8s. You most likely have the smaller engine in your car and typical of the 440 package. Just a guess, however.
