I have a 64 rambler classic wagon w/196 straight six recently rebuilt i am having starter problems. It won't engage the fly wheel, have been unable to locate a place to buy a new starter or bedix. I have discovered the starter motor and cellinoid are the same delco starter as my 64 chevy truck with exception of nose cone and bendix. anyone know where I can get the parts or tell me it the rin gear teeth are the same as a more common vehicle or if the ring gear for a more common motor will fit so i can buy a starter. any thoughts greatly appreciated.
