Hi All, First post and I am already looking for help. I have a 1976 CJ7 with an AMC 304. I have recently noticed considerable exhaust noise from the driver side of the engine under the hood. She has fender well headers and glass packs, 3 inch all the way out. I have noticed on deceleration I am getting a miss or valve rattle noise from the driver side of the engine. If I ride the clutch down a hill the noise severly increases. I checked and found the exhaust is not as strong out the pipe on that side either but the gasket on the header is good. Over the winter I have upgraded to an electronic ignition, changed plugs and wires. She ran well for a while but now I am concerned about the noise and possible valve problems. Has anyone encountered a problem like this? Any help would be very appreciated.
